Welcome Back
Hey, Dave has a beard! This week this old man is moving our vegging ladies from 1-quart containers to 3-gallon containers. Thanks for watching and please be sure to send in any questions you have,
One More Transplant Before Flowering
In this episode of Dave’s Grow, we are going to be transplanting from our quart containers into 3-gallon plastic pots. You can see the tremendous growth the plants have experienced from their last transplant. I will let these plants continue with another week and a half of growth before flipping to flower.
Shortly after this video, I did a light defoliation. You can learn more about defoliation here. I also gave them a nice flush shortly after their defoliation and went ahead and switched the light cycle to 12 on and 12 off to give the plants the signal that fall is approaching and it’s time to do their duty and flower.
Genetics
There are 2 strains in this grow using genetics from Seedsman seeds. I wanted to grow some landrace strains so I chose Tai Chi from Ace Seeds and Maui Waui from Nirvana Seeds. I love seedsman seeds because of their amazing selection of genetics from quality breeders. Their shipping is fast and discreet. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.
One you get your hands on some amazing genetics, be sure to watch my video on germination. There is nothing more frustrating that purchasing genetics and having little luck getting them to germinate. My method works 95% of the time.
Nutrients
It’s no secret that I love using Success Nutrients. Their Pro Line of powdered nutrients makes mixing a breeze. I just mix every part in a mixing container, stir, and dump into my reservoir. I adjust the Ph and give it a good mix.
Success has a liquid line which I recommend you check out as well. There are several different types of powdered and liquid nutrient lines out there. You will notice that most of them have a fairly large lineup. Then there are the 2 and 3-part systems out there for ease of use. My experience is that the lineups with more parts tend to work much better.
The other thing I really like about Success is their partnership with the Three-A-Light method of growing developed by Josh Haupt. Josh has a line of cannabis called Artsy which I really enjoy. I find that this growing method leads to several pounds during harvest.
As always thank you for watching What’s Going on in Dave’s Grow? Don’t forget to keep your weed fresh with Boveda’s 2-way humidity control system. I am a big fan of the 58% Rh packets for long terms storage and 62% Rh for bringing life back to old dry flower.
